Twin Parks Montessori Schools of Manhattan are dedicated to providing child-centered environments that build and foster creative, inquisitive life-long learners. Nearly everything in each Manhattan classroom is meant to capture a child’s natural sense of curiosity; the use of size appropriate furniture gives children a space designed for them. At the three Preschool Manhattan Twin Parks Montessori schools children “work” with authentic Montessori materials such as sandpaper letters and numerals, glass beads, and authentic child-sized utensils. Utilizing the artistic and cultural experiences available in Manhattan, the schools will attend many events throughout the year including performances at Carnegie Hall and the Nutcracker ballet.
Twin Parks Montessori Schools currently operates three nursery/pre-schools on the Upper West Side of Manhattan: Central Park Montessori, at 1 West 91st Street, Riverside Montessori, at 202 Riverside Drive and 93rd Street, and Park West Montessori, at 435 Central Park West. The lead teachers are Montessori certified and have training in early childhood education, serving children from ages 3-months to 6-years.
Twin Parks is the largest accredited Montessori program in Manhattan and the only infant toddler program in New York State to be accredited by both the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the Middle States Commission on Elementary Schools (MSCES). Twin Parks is a member of the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS), the Independent School Admission Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY), and the Parents League, as well as an affiliate school of Manhattan’s Columbia University.
