Twin Parks Montessori Infant and Preschool New York City (NYC) – A Place for Curiosity to Grow

Twin Parks Montessori Schools has led the way in a resurgence of interest in the Montessori philosophy for infants and preschoolers in New York City (NYC). Dr. Kathy Roemer took over a neighborhood preschool located at 435 Central Park West in 2004 and has grown it into Twin Parks Montessori Schools – the largest accredited Montessori program in New York City (NYC) and only infant toddler program in New York State to be accredited by both the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the Middle States Commission on Elementary Schools (MSCES).

Twin Parks Montessori preschools in NYC have 475 students and celebrated its third school opening in September, 2011 at Central Park Montessori, 1 West 91st Street. The two other schools are Park West Montessori, 435 Central Park West, and Riverside Montessori, 202 Riverside Drive. All the schools are located near either Central Park or Riverside Park in New York City (NYC) and the children have an opportunity to play or walk in the parks almost every day.   

The infant and preschool New York City (NYC) program just announced a pilot program with a 12-month schedule to be held at the Park West Montessori location. This will offer parents an educational year-round option for their children ages 3 months to 6 years in New York City (NYC).
