Preschool Upper West Side

Twin Parks Montessori Schools currently operates three nursery/pre-schools on the Upper West Side of Manhattan: Park West Montessori, at 435 Central Park West and 104th Street, Riverside Montessori, at 202 Riverside and 93rd Street and Central Park Montessori at 1 West 91st and Central Park West.
 
Twin Parks Montessori Schools are each located near one of Manhattan’s great Upper West Side parks providing a rich “backyard” for learning and playing. Central Park Montessori and Park West Montessori are directly across the street from the expansive Central Park, while Riverside Montessori students enjoy Riverside Park. These unique locations across the Upper West Side allow students to enjoy the outdoors and learn in a variety of settings.
 
Executive Director Dr. Kathy Roemer, stated “Being able to incorporate the outdoors into our learning curriculum is an invaluable and unique gift for a Manhattan preschool. Our students are excited to explore and participate in lessons that include the use of the parks. Experiencing the outdoors offers our Preschool Upper West Side students the freedom that encourages our mission for independent learning.” Twin Parks students also enjoy visiting other Upper West Side educational attractions such as the Museum of Natural History and the Children’s Museum of Manhattan.
 
A recent Columbia University research study noted that the Upper West Side has an increasing number of dual working parents interested in more options for quality educational pre-school programs beyond daycare or in-home private care. Teachers at Twin Parks Montessori Schools specialize in child development and are highly trained to work with infants and toddlers.
