Sumaya Cilenti
Sumaya Cilenti will be joining Montessori in September 2025. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Goucher College, and studied abroad in the Netherlands to deepen her understanding of human development and education. Having spent most of her early education at a Waldorf school, Sumaya is well-acquainted with intentional, child-centered learning environments.She has worked with children ages 10 months to 6 years through roles such as camp counselor, caretaker, and developmental movement assistant. Outside of work, Sumaya enjoys writing poetry, painting, and crafting—creative outlets that continue to inform her thoughtful and engaging approach with young children. She looks forward to joining the CPM community and deepening her understanding of Montessori education.
